2008 Klamath Basin Tour of Homes
Sponsorship Opportunities

The 2008 Klamath Basin Tour of Homes is scheduled to be held the weekends of August 16, 17 and August 22, 23, 24.

Homes entered can be a spec or custom-built home. They can be occupied or unoccupied. They must have been completed in the last 24 months.

The fee per each home entered is $950 if entered by May 1, 2008. After May 1st the entry fee will increase to $1250. You must be a member of KBHBA to participate. If you are not a member at this time you will need to add $375 to both figures for your membership dues.

For your entry fee you will receive a full page layout in the official Tour of Homes Guide. The Guides will be available to hand out to visitors in your home during the tour. The Herald & News will be producing the Guide and they will be sent in the newspaper’s circulation the week before the event. We will also utilize radio and TV advertising as the budget permits.

On August 15 we will be holding a kickoff barbecue for builder entries and sponsors. We will have judging on Saturday, August 16. The categories will be Best Exterior Design, Best Interior Design, and Best of Show. Depending on the price ranges of the homes entered we anticipate at least 2 winners in each category. On Saturday evening there will be an awards event to announce the winners.

Since this is a work in progress, you will be receiving updates from us throughout the next few months. Please feel free to contact the office with any questions or suggestions. We are looking forward to an incredible event!

Diversified Contractors, Inc. is an Oregon Corporation that was formed in 1982 by a group of good friends who believed they could make a living doing exceptional work for a variety of clients.  Their philosophy of providing a superior service to their customers still prevails to this day.  Our CCB license number is 41320.

This approach has allowed Diversified Contractors, Inc. to grow from a small operation to one of the largest construction companies in Southern Oregon.  Today we are licensed in Oregon and Washington and have worked as Construction Managers on construction projects throughout the United States.

Our office staff and management team has grown to fifteen professional and capable employees with very diverse backgrounds.  This diversity has blossomed into one of Diversified Contractors, Inc. unique strengths.  The result is that we now have our own excavation, site work, landscaping, masonry, tile, painting, drywall and metal fabrication divisions.  Along with our standard construction crews, we are able to self-perform nearly all phases of new construction including earthwork, landscaping, concrete, framing (metal and wood), acoustic ceilings, drywall, painting and finish work.  On occasion, bids from subcontractors are high and we can reduce costs by self-performing.  On other occasions, a low bidding subcontractor may not have large enough crews to maintain our schedule and we can supplement their forces with our men, allowing us to complete as scheduled.

Nash Construction Bio. - We have specialized in custom homes since 1995 when Nash Construction was started in the Klamath Basin.  Nash Construction was originally started by my father, Bill Nash, in 1964 in Southern California.  He did all phases of construction there including: concrete tilt-up, large scale commercial development, custom tract housing, and mutli-million dollar custom homes.  Since in Oregon Nash Construction has focused primarily on custom homes but also does commercial, remodel, and land development.  Bill Nash retired 5 years ago but the legacy of our product continues.  We feel we turn out an excellent product at a very competitive price.  We have nearly 50 custom homes that we have either completed or are under construction in the Running Y/Ridgewater developments.  We design about 95% of all the projects that we build and offer full 3D CAD (computer aided drafting) services to meet your needs.

Jack Roberts Building bio

Over fifty years ago my grandfather began building a reputation for quality craftsmanship.  My father, Jack Roberts, carried on the tradition of building quality homes and discovered along the way how rewarding and enjoyable this inheritance was.  In 1971, Jack moved to the Klamath Basin and began incorporating pride of workmanship into every home he built.

Years spent training and working with this son Brandon paid off for Jack.  In 1996 Brandon applied this quality craftsmanship tradition and started to move Jack Roberts Building into the forefront of modern home design, construction and development.  By incorporating fresh and innovative design ideas and skillfully using progressive construction methods while maintaining his heritage of quality craftsmanship, Brandon developed the unique ability to exceed expectations.  Our expert tradesman, carpenters and designers make Jack Roberts Building a forward thinking organization.
