FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE First Annual Tour of Homes Event Drawing NearAugust 9, 2008 The Klamath Basin Home Builders Association has announced their first annual KBHBA Tour of Homes event August 16-17 and 22-24, 2008 will feature seven new homes. The tour is a “scattered site” tour. “That means that builders have entered their finished homes to be showcased and visitors will travel around the Basin to visit the homes,” Kristin Sayles, Executive Officer for KBHBA. “A guide will be published in the Herald and News the week of August 11th. This way you will have a map and each builder entered in the Tour will have a page that is devoted to their home with floor plans and other information about the home.” The locations of the seven homes with their builder are: Westbrook Homes NW – 3925 Birddog Drive in Pheasant Run; Diversified Contractors, Inc. – 1157 Paper Birch Way in RidgeWater; Nash Construction LLC – 1161 Paper Birch Way in RidgeWater; Diversified Contractors, Inc. – 11135 Merganser in Running Y; Sage Builders LLC – 4330 Fox Sparrow Dr & 5666 Autumn Gold Dr in Running Y; Jack Roberts Building – 4619 Murrelet Dr in Running Y. “This event will showcase the beautiful work our local builders do,” stated Amanda Blodgett, 2008 KBHBA President. “We have been planning this event for the last year. With the recent changes in the housing market we felt this was an opportune time to help our builders showcase and ultimately sell the homes they have been building. There is not another event like this; where the public can visit the homes over a two weekend period, have the builder in the home to answer questions and see what is available in our community.” The event is free to the public and the homes are open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
